WHO I AM
Intuitive. Intelligent. Experienced.
I am a Cambridge educated, qualified and dedicated English teacher with ten years' experience both in the classroom and tutoring individuals and small groups. I work with students ranging from Y7s to undergraduates. My intelligent and intuitive approach allows me to quickly build a trusting relationship with my students in order to bolster confidence and get to the heart of what difficulties they are facing. This allows me to carefully tailor each session to a student's needs, enabling them to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

I know what works when it comes to exams. Having taught a range of specifications including AQA, WJEC/Eduqas and Edexcel and with past experience as an exam marker, I have helped learners to achieve their predicated grades or higher and enabled previously failing students to achieve the desired 4 during retakes. I am proud of my students and the part I have been able to play in ensuring their success.
KEY STAGE 3
Laying the Groundwork
Key Stage 3 is a crucial period of development for students. My focus with Year 7-9 lies in making English relevant and exciting by introducing students to compelling literature, using writing and discussion to help students explore and explain complex ideas and cultivating the work ethic and a sense of the value of reading and self study on which their future success will depend. Parents of this age group can be confident that their child will be meticulously prepared for the challenges of the next key stage.
